SolarBridge Technologies, a leading provider of integrated microinverters for TrueACTM solar modules, is bringing its nationwide ACPV Revolution Roadshow and Training to New Orleans on Tuesday, Feb. 26. The free training, co-sponsored by MAGE SOLAR and presented by Ontility Solar Training, is being held to educate Louisiana’s growing solar workforce.
The sustained growth of the Gulf Coast’s solar industry is a testament to the ability of local installers to adopt industry best practices and offer customers leading technology at the most competitive prices. Solar technologies like TrueAC modules – which are simpler, safer and more powerful for residential solar – will attract even more homeowners to solar and keep the state’s solar workforce growing.
“The ACPV Revolution Roadshow is a great opportunity for installers to learn how easy it is to install TrueAC modules, and we’ve had tremendous interest at every stop,” said Ron Van Dell, President and CEO of SolarBridge Technologies. “MAGE SOLAR is an exceptional partner to work with in terms of product quality, reliability and speed to market.”
TrueAC modules dramatically cut installation time and system cost. With microinverters factory-integrated on the back of the solar panels, TrueAC modules can be installed up to 50 percent faster than DC modules with detached microinverters and produce up to 25 percent more power than string inverters with dramatically improved design flexibility. Through the ACPV Revolution Roadshow, SolarBridge is providing free technology training for solar installers on TrueAC modules, which are designed, tested and certified as a single assembly by SolarBridge and its module manufacturing partners.
“We are enormously thrilled to be part of the SolarBridge ACPV Revolution Roadshow in New Orleans,” said Joe Thomas, President and CEO of MAGE SOLAR. “The immense advantages of the plug-and-play technology are huge steps in making solar PV easier, more accessible, and more popular. This great educational program is an opportunity accomplished installers and newcomers to the growing solar workforce can benefit from equally.”
At this training, experienced and aspiring installers will have the opportunity to do hands-on installations of MAGE PowerTec Plus AC modules powered by SolarBridge microinverters. Attendees will also have the opportunity to interact with the latest software monitoring tools and compete for prizes in an installation showdown. All participants will receive four continuing education credits from the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP), the leading solar workforce certification agency. The NABCEP training is presented in partnership with Ontility, a leader in solar training and education, and MAGE SOLAR, a leading module manufacturer. The SolarBridge ACPV Revolution Roadshow has been traveling the U.S. since November, with stops in some of the fastest growing U.S. solar markets. The New Orleans training will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. at the University of New Orleans, 2000 Lakeshore Drive, and includes a reception from 5 to 6 p.m. For a complete list of tour stops and to register for the training, visithttps://www.solarbridgetech.
