Sunovia Energy Technologies Inc.
and EPIR Technologies Inc. have hired Dr. Angelo Gilmore and Dr.
Chollada Gilmore, who both have significant experience in cadmium
telluride (CdTe) solar cells. Both scientists previously worked at
First Solar.
EPIR says it is in the process of expanding its
manufacturing facilities and expects to complete pilot manufacturing of
the partners' high-efficiency, low-cost CdTe on silicon solar cells in
2010. This is the second time this year that EPIR will be expanding its
facilities.
