Enaqua, a leading water purification solutions provider, installed a
50.4kW Direct Current solar power system for its new expansion facility
in San Diego. They chose Cenergy Power, a leading commercial solar
integrator, to engineer and construct the non-penetrating roof solar
array.
The system is estimated to produce over 74,000 kWh of
electricity annually, which offsets Enaqua's utility power consumption
by over 80%. Moreover, the solar production will reduce Enaqua's carbon
footprint by 38,000 lbs and has an estimated simple payback of less
than five years.
"As clean water advocates, we knew that going
solar on our expanded facility was the right thing to do," said Manoj
Jhawar, Enaqua's CEO. "The decision to tap Cenergy Power for this solar
project was simple - we were impressed with the know-how of their
seasoned team of power quality/systems engineers and the level of
detailed workmanship they brought to the entire solar process."
Although
Enaqua staff is well versed in solar power generation having utilized
it in the past for control and telemetry, after evaluating our options
it became clear partnering with Cenergy Power made the best sense.
