The need to go green has made industrial designers think of products that offer clean energy to charge portable electronic devices we all are so obsessed with. While most solar chargers carry a built-in battery to store energy for use sometime later, industrial designer Rohan Jaguste has come up with a solar charger that is minimalist and doesn’t store any energy, but actually dissipates energy to charge electronic devices.

The charger carries an array of solar cells that convert incident light into electrical energy (DC voltage), which is then used by the connected device. The form of the photovoltaic charger enables it to pick up light at maximum possible conditions in order to improve its efficiency.

Thanks: [Rohan Jaguste]
